Thank you from Stephen

Dear PAAZAB Members, Colleagues and Friends

I would like to take this opportunity to thank all of you for the wonderful support and encouragement that I have received as the Executive Director of the African Association of Zoos and Aquaria.

As many of you are aware I have been employed on a part time basis by both PAAZAB and SANCCOB (The South African Foundation for the Conservation of Coastal Birds). After much thought and deliberation, I have made the decision to resign as the Executive Director of PAAZAB and accept an offer from SANCCOB to join their team on a full time basis.

I have really enjoyed working with you and am looking forward to seeing PAAZAB achieve all it’s future goals and aspirations. The decision to leave has been difficult, and I believe the Association is now well placed to make a difference for the zoo and aquarium community.

Thank you to a very proactive and forward thinking Executive Committee. Your assistance and guidance has been fundamental to my position and the success thereof. Thank you to the Portfolio Committees for taking on their portfolio’s enthusiastically.  A special Thank You must go to Mr. John Werth for his exceptional support of the PAAZAB office and always being willing to go the extra mile.

I hope to see you all again soon.

Kind Regards
